Organizations

The organizations listed below are not “part of” our parish, but have been important to many of our parishioners.

The Knights are a local group of Catholic gentlemen who share the common goals of the Kof C: Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism . The Knights meet at 7:30 PM on the second Wednesday of each month in the K of C Hall, directly across Main Street from our church. Check out the Bishop Petersen Council website.

Cursillo and Ultreya

The Cursillo weekend is a short course in Christianity. The focus of the weekend is the individual's relationship with Christ, the development of the Christian Ideal, and the application of this ideal to your environment. It takes place over three days – Thursday evening to Sunday evening. Most of the “cursillistas” at St. Joseph parish experienced Cursillo at St Basil’s Salvatorian Center in Methuen, MA. The Diocese of Manchester runs Cursillo weekends at the Sarto Center in Hooksett, NH.

Ultreya is a gathering of Christians, most of whom have experienced Cursillo, to support each other in their continuing journey to live their commitment to Christ. Ultreyas are held at St. Joseph parish at 7:00 PM in St. Julie Hall, on the Friday of the Cursillo weekends at St. Basil’s. This is generally the first Friday of the month, September through May.
